Juice!

Thomas' new favorite word is JUICE! Whenever he needs a drink I ask him if he wants milk or juice and he says JUICE! It's the cutest thing ever. I don't think he's ever said milk but I still ask because hearing him say JUICE! makes me smile everytime:)

Hugs for Mama

Yesterday after a VERY long day at work I was greeted at home with a hug! Travis and Thomas met me getting out of my car and Travis said "give mama a hug" and Thomas walked striaght over to me and gave me a BIG hug!! It just melted away all my stress...I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my day;-)

Merry Christmas!!

We're back from the AMAZING CHRISTMAS RACE!! We all had a fabulous Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family. Even though we were a little rushed at times, it was great to spend as much time as possible with the ones we love!! We are so lucky and thankful to have so many loved ones to spend the holidays with!

Thomas LOVED all the attention and the presents, of course. He had sooo many presents it took him until the day after Christmas to get them all opened! (It really is sad that no one loves him huh??) He got lots of books and toys and balls! Again, good thing we have a basement:-)

Dad and I got a new Camera for Christmas since our old one was getting so slow (I was ending up with a lot of pictures of the back of Thomas' head). I ended up with 450+ pictures from over the weekend...I know crazy right?? Anyway, as soon as I get a chance to get them uploaded I'll post a few of our holiday festivities.

Hugs and kisses to all and Happy Holiday!!

P.S. A special thanks to Gma and Gpa Berghoff for letting us invade thier house for 4 days. You made a terrific "home base" and we really appreciated it!!

2009 Berghoff Family Christmas tree!!

So I"m a little late getting this posted but our Christmas tree is up!!! This is the first year that Thomas actually got to take part in the picking out and decorating of the tree. We picked the coldest night of the year to get our tree so the picking was FAST but I think we did a good job. Thomas wasn't too interested in the trees but he thought watching the snow fall outside was great! We were thankful for the utility of the van again as the tree was easily slipped in along side Thomas' carseat and we carted it home. Ohhh how the van smelled good!!!

These pictures are out of order but this is the tree after Thomas did his decorating! As you can see he put all the "balls" in one spot right in front of where he was standing. It was adorable!

Here's Bubs asking mama for some help putting the hook back on his "ball". Look at how focussed he is! He is such a hard worker!!

Here he is helping with the lights. He carried this strand around with him for a while. What a cutie pie and oh so helpful!!

Putting his balls on the tree while dad tries to put the lights on....

The finished product... Our 2009 Berghoff Family Christmas Tree!!!

Thank you Grandma/pa Berghoff

Travis and I are back from Mexico as of late Monday evening... We want to give Grandma Berghoff (and Grandpa!) a BIG THANK YOU for watching Thomas during our mini Mexican vacation. We had a great time but of course missed our Dooder!! It was so nice to have a little time away from work but equally nice to kiss our little Bubs goodnight when we got back:)

Let's play "Name those body parts"!

Thomas is really big into finding his body parts these days. Usually during bathtime dad and I name a body part and Thomas finds it. Then he points to either dad or I and we have to find ours too.

Here is the list of body parts that Thomas is currently able to find!

head
hair
eyes
ears
nose
mouth
tongue
teeth
belly
bottom (this is his current favorite!)
penis
foot/feet
toes (sometimes)

How many eggs you want?

Here's a couple pics of Thomas helping me make eggs Sunday morning after our trip to Ft. Wayne. He really wanted to help crack the eggs but luckily I convinced him that stirring them would be just as much fun! Isn't he just the cutest thing you've ever seen? :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, I know I'm late but I figure better late than never:) We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We spent the entire weekend up north visiting with relatives. We also had Aunt Tanya's baby shower on Saturday. Thomas enjoyed see all his family members and of course showing off a little! He still likes chasing Grandma and Grandpa B's cat around and playing pool on Grandpa's table. (This consists of him sitting on the table and rolling the balls into the pockets while Grandpa fishes them back out for him) We also visited with Grandpa Bowers and his family as well as Grandma Vickie and Aunt Sabrina and that side of the family. Thomas got to see, and ride, his Christmas present from Grandma and Aunt Sabrina which is a ride-on Thomas the Train. He rode it around and around their Christmas tree and now its set up in our basement. Even though the circle track is small he still loves to sit and ride around in circles over and over again! I've got to admit I'm a little concerned that Christmas isn't even here yet and our basement is already filled with toys! Oh well. I suppose that's what happens when you have the first grandchild:)
